#WiE2022Elections

"Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

This fall, every member of WiE will have the opportunity to nominate themselves or a colleague to serve on a local chapter board. The call for nominations will be for all board positions across all chapters.

Serving on your local board is an opportunity to do even more for an organization that you are already passionate about. As a board member you will be entrusted and empowered with the responsibility to bring the best education, networking and philanthropic activities to your local chapter members. You will also be called upon to protect WiE’s best interests for members and the best interests of the organization as a whole.

If you have never served on a board before, this is the opportunity to take those first steps to expanding your knowledge, relationships and resume! Also, WiE has established policies and procedures that provide information to you every step of the way.

Nominations are open today but closing soon!

Reach out to your respective Regional Director to get the process started.

General Election Policies

  • In order to vote in an election, a member must have an active account as of 9/30/2022 and be able to log into their account.
     - Members who re-activate an account after 9/30/2022 are not automatically eligible to vote.
     - Likewise, new members who join after 9/30/2022 will not automatically be eligible to vote.
  • Members eligible to vote will receive an email announcing the opening of the election online with a link to the voting panel. This email can be forwarded but, since a login is required, the link will only work for all active WiE members.
  • Members are eligible to vote in all chapters in which they are affiliated as of 9/30/2022.
    - Members who change chapter affiliations after 9/30/2022 are not automatically eligible to vote in their new chapter.
  • All polls are open from 12:00 AM (Central time) to 11:59 PM (Central time). Although chapters are in various time zones, the polling time zone is inflexible and cannot be modified to the local time zone. So, don't wait until the last minute to vote – especially in time zones to the east of Chicago!
    - For example, for chapters in the Eastern time zone, polls will end at 10:59 PM local time.
  • Please direct all inquires and questions to elections@womeninediscovery.org.
