Join the WiE Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter for a session on “eDiscovery Current Best Practices”.

The presentation covers current best practices including data collection, preservation, processing, review and production.  Topics that are discussed include:  Client collects v. professional forensic collection; best uses of Analytics on your documents; the production deliverable and current court rules on the inadvertent Privilege production and use of Clawbacks.  There is also plenty of time for interaction with attendees.  

SPEAKER:

Mark Morgan, eDiscovery Director at TransPerfect Chicago, has over twenty years of experience as an eDiscovery analyst and project manager prior to becoming director. As a company director he has assembled a talented team of eDiscovery professionals and manages all phases of the eDiscovery Chicago operation: collection, preservation, review and production of electronic records. He has completed the Relativity administrator and LAW processing training programs.

Mr. Morgan previously served as Litigation Support Manager at the Vedder Price PC law firm. As a litigation support manager, he oversaw eDiscovery processing and hosting operations for Vedder Price PC in the Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C offices of the firm.

While at Vedder Mr. Morgan worked as a data analyst, litigation software specialist, and project manager. In that capacity he was directly involved in the collection, processing hosting and production of electronic records on matters involving the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice and Insurance, Banking and Employment Contracts in multi-district litigation.

Mr. Morgan participated in the beta testing of Digital Reef, the processing and Early Case Assessment software, Mr. Morgan’s revisions and recommendations were incorporated into the final version of the software, making the search feature much more user intuitive and functional. Mr. Morgan is a frequent CLE lecturer, having created the CLE presentation, Best Practices: Collection, Preservation, Review and Production.

In addition to his eDiscovery experience Mr. Morgan was a co-founder of the legal staffing company, Attorney Assistance, Inc., providing contract attorneys and paralegals for document reviews to some of Chicago’s largest law firms.
