Please join the Iowa Chapter of Women in eDiscovery on May 16 for "Developing Better Search Habits, Together" presented by Aileen Tien of Relativity. Aileen will be presenting live in Des Moines.
Presentation Overview:
We will discuss best practices for conducting searches. The presentation will be conducted in an interactive format. We will break up into groups of 3-4 people so that each group can practice the searching exercises, and then we can discuss the results together as a whole. Searching topics include:
Using wildcards, stemming, fuzziness
Proximity searching
Examples of inefficient searches
Searching for special characters (%, #, &) and stop words
Regular expressions
Aileen Tien, Team Lead, Relativity Solutions: Aileen is a former developer, attorney, and litigation support specialist. With over 10 years of experience building web applications and SQL databases, she has an extensive technical background. Aileen is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, and was admitted to the Illinois state bar in 2008. She worked as an attorney before returning to her technical roots to be a litigation support specialist. Aileen currently assists Relativity customers with creating workflow solutions.
