Iowa Chapter Meeting - I Want to Be a Manager!

  • 19 Apr 2018
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Davis Brown Law Firm 215 10th Street, Suite 1300 Des Moines

Join us on April 19th for “I Want to Be a Manager!” presented by Jared Coseglia, founder and CEO of TRU Staffing Partners and Kaylee Walstad, Director of Strategic Partnerships at ACEDS.

One of the most frequent requests from legal technology professionals in the middle-beginning of their career is, “How can I become a manager of a department?”

Whether working at a law firm, in-house corporate, or at a service provider or consultancy, becoming a manager without having explicit previous management experience can be a real challenge. External employers often want experienced managers, while getting trained and promoted from within into a leadership role may require more patience and good fortune than many legal technology professionals can spare. This presentation will examine the steps legal tech pros can take in the genesis of their career which can help lead to managerial opportunity later in life.

Lunch is generously sponsored by TRU Staffing Partners. Please RSVP by Monday April 16th, so that we have an accurate lunch count.

We have a drawing this month for an ACEDS Scholarship (One CEDS Training Package that includes: CEDS certification package, ediscovery essentials, 3 CEDS prep webinars, handbook, one year ACEDS membership and exam, or: e-discovery essentials with one year membership), generously sponsored by ACEDS and TRU Staffing Partners. To have your name entered into the drawing for the ACEDS Scholarship, please email knarveson@spmblaw.com.
