Please join us for "An Overview of the General Data Protection Regulation" on November 15, 2017!
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was the biggest change to Europe's data protection since the 1990s when it was adopted by the European Parliament and European Council on April 27, 2016, and will soon go into effect on May 25, 2018. In our ever-more connected world, however, many companies headquartered outside Europe will need to be cognizant of these new changes as they due business there. This session will introduce the GDPR and explain its primary aims and purposes, while the panel will also discuss how it affects American businesses and its impacts on electronic discovery.
The presentation will be given by Lisa Popadic, Director of Business Development at Seclore, and Sarah Palmer, Client Executive of the Life Science & Technology Practice at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
This event will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 12:00PM - 1:30PM, at the Social Law Library in the John Adams Courthouse, One Pemberton Square, Suite 1400, Boston MA 02108. Our lunch is sponsored by OpenText.
