*A note from our speaker:
Task for eDiscovery Meeting – April 8, 2021
There are plethora of different communication style assessments out there (DISC, Meyers Briggs, etc.) and I’m sure you’ve taken some of them. Over the past 15+ years, I have used an assessment called Straight Talk and for me, it’s the one that resonates the most and closely aligns with my personality and communications style. In preparation for April 8, please complete the Straight Talk Communication Styles Survey that can be found here. This is not required but will be used to spark conversations in our session.
Please join Women in eDiscovery (Mpls-St. Paul Chapter)for an enlightening and engaging presentation on, “Women Empowerment: Understanding Communication and Using Our Voices to Initiate Change.”
RSVP via Evite.
Women often are told (or feel) that they are too direct, aggressive, passive, lack confidence and need to speak up more in meetings. How do we avoid these labels and stereotypes in order to feel empowered, confident and be considered equal leaders in our organizations? Communication is key! This presentation is an engaging experience that empowers women with communication tools to help them navigate and succeed in the workplace. It is designed to foster team-building and strengthen relationships in the workplace.
- Importance of understanding communication and linguistic styles
- Common communication challenges and strategies for dealing with them
- Authenticity and confidence
- Queen Bee and Imposter Syndrome (if we have time)
