Scotland Yard - MET SciTech 2.0: Unveiling the science behind investigations

We are so excited to be returning to New Scotland Yard for our second event with the Metropolitan Police! Those of you who joined us last year will be able to attest to what a fascinating and informative event it was, with presentations from a number of different departments on some of the technology that the Metropolitan police use in the areas of digital forensics and investigations. This year’s event certainly won’t disappoint, with more experts showing us through some of the incredible tools of modern policing.

RSVP via Eventbrite.

Generously supported by Consilio, this event is a unique opportunity to visit the top floor of the famous New Scotland Yard building, with incredible views over the Thames. Spaces are limited, so be ready next Tuesday at 12 noon to reserve your FREE ticket for this event.

  • Date: Wednesday 19th June
  • Time: 5pm – 8pm
  • Location: New Scotland Yard, London SW1A 2JL
  • Tickets will be available this Wednesday, June 12, at 12 noon
  • This event is open to Members Only. Do you want to become a member? It's free and easy - simple sign up here: https://www.womeninediscovery.org/join-us

As New Scotland Yard is a secure building, there are a few things to note for the night:

  • Valid Photo ID – your name will be on a list, and you will need to show a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) at the front door to be admitted
  • X-ray bag check – once inside, your bags will need to go through an x-ray scanner, and you’ll pass through a metal detector (like a mini airport security)
  • Escorted up and back down – we will need to be escorted up to the room, and back down at the end of the event by a Met staff member
  • No photos inside – you can take photos out the front of the building, and also outside on the balcony upstairs, but you can’t take photos anywhere else inside the building

Tomorrow we'll be announcing the speakers, and on Wednesday, the tickets will be released. Keep an eye on your emails for all the exciting updates!

If you have any queries, please let us know; we look forward to seeing you soon!
