Meet the Speakers
Monica is an executive coach for lawyers. Her areas of focus include productivity, leadership skills, business development, communication, confidence, habit formation and self-discipline, work-life balance, and others.
Monica started her career as a corporate attorney at Skadden, Arps and subsequently transitioned into HR leadership with 20+ years of experience working for large international organizations, including Google, Slalom and others.
Monica holds a JD from Northwestern University and an MBA from Oxford University.
Karen is Orrick’s global Wellness Ambassador. She runs Mindfulness and Wellness programming under the firm’s wellness platform (The Whole You), including leading regular meditation sessions and mindfulness/wellness talks in Orrick's offices and at various retreats and events.
Karen began exploring Buddhist-based meditation about 18 years ago and holds certification in mindfulness meditation. Through formal instruction, yoga practice, retreats and workshops, she has accumulated training in various meditation techniques, as well as mind-body wellness/awareness, wellness coaching, intuitive listening, yoga and Ayurvedic principles, and human behavior. She holds degrees from Wellesley College and Rutgers University.
