The Convergence of E-Discovery, Privacy and Information Governance (Part 2)

Please join the Iowa Chapter of Women in Ediscovery on Thursday, June 23rd for part two of "The Convergence of E-Discovery, Privacy and Information Governance". As high-profile data breach cases and ever-increasing regulations highlight, we are entering a new age of dealing with data that's causing companies to rethink everything - from how they collect data to storage, retention, access, disposal, and more. Complex data risks associated with data privacy, data breach and litigation are requiring organizations and legal teams to invest in integrated e-discovery and IG technologies which will allow organizations to respond to requests much more quickly and efficiently. This discussion will give you a better understanding of how to build the foundation for a defensible compliance program and the tools that are available to do so.

In this session, Rebecca Perry, CIPP/US/G, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Exterro, and Brenda Dodd, CEDS, Director of Product Management at Exterro, will provide an overview of the privacy landscape and touch on the key areas and skills that converge and align with e-discovery.

Rebecca Perry is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Exterro and has been with Exterro for almost 30 years. She works with legal, IT, Compliance and Privacy professionals, along with their outside counsel, to accelerate compliance and mitigate risks in the areas of Data Privacy, Data Retention, Data Inventory/Mapping, Data Breach, EDiscovery and Digital Forensics.

Brenda Dodd is the Director of Product Management at Exterro. Brenda is an innovative Certified eDiscovery Specialist with over 25 years of experience in eDiscovery. Prior to joining the software side of eDiscovery, Brenda served as the internal eDiscovery process and policy thought leader, responsible for developing and maintaining best practices and strategy at PNC Bank, Mylan Pharmaceuticals and Dick Sporting Goods.

This meeting will be remote only.

Exterro has graciously offered to provide DoorDash gift cards to all attendees so you are able to have lunch while attending the meeting. After registering, the DoorDash gift card will be sent to you via email.
