Elimination of Bias: Waking Up Work!

Please join the Women in eDiscovery-Minneapolis/St. Paul chapter to hear published author and speaker, Timothy Velner, discuss how we all can reduce risks, flesh out the UNKNOWN unknowns, and foster mindfulness in the workplace. Timothy will share anecdotally and scientifically how 90% of us sleepwalk through life making decisions based on our personal and cultural defaults. We are hard-wired to join up and sleepwalk. Sleepwalking leads to blind adherence and missing unknowns that often lie right in front of our eyes. He will discuss the value of diversity as awareness tools to help improve company culture, identify personal and company defaults that lead to sleepwalking, and allow companies to implement action to better identify risk.

You can purchase his book (Waking Up Work – Using Mindfulness to Uncover the Unknowns and Mitigate Risk) at Amazon.com or through his website - https://www.wakingupwork.com

Below is an article he recently wrote regarding rethinking the way we look at diversity and inclusion, which he will discuss on Thursday.
