Meeting Summary: From fact investigation, to discovery battles, to in-court use of social media content, this presentation will give a start-to-finish overview of social media issues in litigation. The presentation will also include discussion of potential e-discovery issues to take note of given the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Presenter bio:
Leslie Behaunek is a member of the Nyemaster Goode Litigation Department with a practice that includes business and commercial litigation, financial institution and bankruptcy litigation, employment law, insurance defense, and appellate advocacy. Before joining the firm, Leslie served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jane Kelly on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Honorable James E. Gritzner on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Leslie was elected to the Order of the Coif and graduated with highest honors from Drake University Law School, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team and President of the Moot Court Board. Leslie is a Past-President of Polk County Women Attorneys, is Chair for the ISBA Federal Practice Committee, serves on the planning committee for the upcoming Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference, and has been actively involved in state and federal bar association committees and local non-profit organizations throughout her career.
