Iowa Chapter Meeting - Shining a Light on the Dark Web

Shining a Light into the Dark Web: This session will provide an overview and live demonstration of what the dark web is, how it works, how it is accessed, what it is used for, and its strengths and weaknesses. Please note, this session will include information and imagery that some attendees could potentially find disturbing; viewer discretion is advised.

Chris A. Quintanilla, Managing Director of Saperde
Mr. Quintanilla has over twenty years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry and has worked for IBM Education and Training, for the City of Philadelphia and has taught at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. In private practice, Mr. Quintanilla has advised clients internationally in matters of network infrastructure, disaster recovery, privacy, and cybersecurity.

Additionally, as a member of both InfraGard and the Philadelphia Area Electronic Crimes Task Force, Mr. Quintanilla is able to leverage his relationships with the FBI and the United States Secret Service to advise clients on matters of information security and works with them to implement best practices to safeguard critical systems and classified information and to properly respond to cybercrime incidents and threats.

Mr. Quintanilla’s commitment to public service is ongoing. In addition to serving on several local and national boards, he has twice been appointed as a US Selective Service regional Board Member by two different U.S. Presidents, he is an officer in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and is an advisor to the City of Philadelphia’s Personnel Department. Mr. Quintanilla is a member of American Mensa.
