Topic - GDPR: What You Need to Know Now!
This luncheon will provide an overview of the critical elements of the General Data Protection Regulation taking effect May 25, 2018. We will discuss how this new regulation will affect you, and what you can do to minimize exposure. We will look at specific GDPR requirements and offer practical solutions for moving forward.

EMILY COHEN, Associate Director, Navigant Global Legal Technology Solutions Structured Analytics
Emily is an Associate Director of the Chicago office of Navigant's Global Legal Technology Solutions Structured Analytics teams. She has over 11 years of experience in project management involving large scale analytics, management of enterprise data, systems, regulatory compliance, and legal discovery. Emily's combination of technical, financial, and subject matter expertise allow her to work directly with client management in legal and compliance, as well as those in IT and third-party data providers to understand where electronic information lives, how it proliferates throughout the organization, and best practices to govern that data to manage risk and provide insight. She excels at solving complex problems in legal and compliance environments. Emily has led numerous engagements for litigation readiness assessments, data mapping exercises, mortgage-backed security e-discovery, and many other proactive assessments and responsive litigation support engagements. Emily is currently managing GDPR readiness implementations for various clients spanning from local technology service providers to large multinational corporations, including overall project management, creating data inventories, data protection impact assessments, and remediation plans.
TOMI L. TAGGART, Director, Navigant Global Legal Technology Solutions
Tomi is a Director in the Chicago office of Navigant's Global Legal Technology Solutions practice. Her over 25 years of experience as a strategic business and sales leader has been focused in the legal technology and professional services section overseeing technology enabled solutions in rapidly changing markets. Tomi's combination of legal, technical, and subject matter expertise allow her to work directly with internal and external client delivery teams to ensure that every client relationship and engagement is managed in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Tomi is currently working with Navigant's GDPR and privacy delivery team in managing overall client relationships while ensuring client satisfaction and developing future GDPR related initiatives. Tomi is motivated by a deep commitment to people and team leadership, including growing and managing client relationships, recruiting and developing talent, and engaging clients and colleagues with an inspiring vision, clear objectives, and accountability for results.
